RESIZING AT MY IMAGER
vs. IMAGE MAGICK
(for MSNTV only)

Take the url of this test image,
http://tutes.tonebytone.com/ftute/birdparadise-abstr.jpg
to My Imager. It is 457 wide by 316 high. Ignore the red warnings.

  1. Click on: Left button "File" - then "Open"


  2. Next screen: Delete http:// in the box. Paste in the url. Click once.


  3. Next screen: "File: Ready" - click on "Edit" button, then "Resize."


  4. Next screen: Click on "Select below" - scroll to bottom - click on "10%"


  5. Next screen: Shows your image.
    Again click on "Edit" and "Resize"


  6. Next screen: Choose "resize without maintainig aspect ratio - width"
    Type 544 in that box and 372 in the next box (height).
    Click on "Resize" button.


  7. Next screen: Click on "File" and "Save"


  8. Next screen: Click on the long blue url. Your new enlarged image will appear. Use your Go To key and get the url to beam or TL into your file manager.

  1. In box delete http:// - paste in the url of the SAME test image above. Click on "View"


  2. Next screen: Image name, width and height appears in your scroll bar.
    Click on the "Resize" tab - top of the page.


  3. Next screen: Delete the numbers in the "Image Size" box. Type in 10%.
    Click on the "Resize" button. Ignore all else.


  4. Next screen: Click on the "Resize" tab again.


  5. Next screen: Delete the numbers in the box. Type in: 544!x372! - important to use the exclamation points to get exact size.


  6. Click on "zoom" and then click on the "Resize" button.


  7. To save, click on the "Output" tab at the top of the page.


  8. Next screen: Move cursor down - click on "Single File" - ignore all else.
    C lick on "Output" button below that.


  9. Next screen: Click on small image.


  10. Next screen: Full-sized image. Use Go To key to get the temporary url and beam or TL to your file manager.


  11. OR - Go back now to IM and redo the steps above from #1-5. Then instead of clicking on "zoom" (#6), click on "scale." Do the subsequent steps just as above. (IM's scaler produces more detailed pixellations than does My Imager's.)
