JS BUG! PLEASE RELOAD!
Optional Resize AttributesAn Image Magick Tute by Flo
The Optional Resize Attributes, Blur and Filter, are below the various Resize Algorithms. To blur or to slightly sharpen an image while resizing, you must increase the size of either the width or length by at least one pixel plus the exclamation point.
Blur
Greater-than Bracket >
- Type in the new dimensions plus the !.
- Click Resize by the radio button to make it red.
- Scroll down to Optional Resize Attributes.
- Type a > in front of the 1.0 in the Blur box.
- Leave Filter set at Undefined.
- Click on Resize button
This will give you a slight blurring effect.
Numerals
Delete the 1.0 and type in 3 or 5 or some higher number. The > isn't necessary for getting a greater blur.
You can leave the Filter set as is, because the differences between the types of Filters and their blurs are so slight as to be unnoticeable.
Sharpening
Lesser-than Bracket <
- Type in the new dimensions plus the !.
- Scroll down to the Blur box.
- Type in the < in front of the 1.0.
- Click on Resize button
The sharpening effect is very slight. It might cause mild pixelations along diagonal lines.
