If you have never used Draw/Lines, please go to the Simple Lines tutorial before reading this. You will find Translate and Scale in the Options section on the Draw screen. You type in the parameters for each of these in their own boxes, not in the upper parameters box above the Options section. Both these Options produce limited effects with Lines, which may or may not be useful for your Drawing. These Options are much more useful for the other Draw shapes. SCALE: This option has 2 settings. The default is 1.0, 1.0. The first number (1.0) is the Horizontal setting; the 2nd number (1.0) is the Vertical setting. Change one or both, as desired. Examples: Vertical coords for each color position were different to place the lines under each other. Blue: Scale @ 1.0,1.0 Green: Scale @ 2.0,1.0 Red: Scale @ 1.0,2.0 Thin Red line shows where the line would have been without changing Scale. Horizontal coords for each color position were different to place the lines alongside of each other. Blue: Scale @ 1.0,1.0 Green: Scale @ 2.0,1.0. This line completely covered the Blue line, so I didn't show it. Thin Geen line shows where the line would have been without changing Scale. Red: Scale @ 1.0,2.0 TRANSLATE: This option also has 2 settings. The default is 0.0, 0.0. The first number (0.0) is the Horizontal setting; the 2nd number (0.0) is the Vertical setting. Change one or both, as desired. Examples: Blue: Transl @ 0.0, 0.0 Green: Transl @ 10, 0.0 Red: Transl @ 0.0, 10 Thin Red line shows where line would have been without changing Translate. These settings use the minus sign (negative). Blue: Transl @ 0.0, 0.0 Green: Transl @ -10, 0.0 Red: Transl @ 0.0, -10 Thin Red line shows where line would have been without changing Translate. Translate with positive numbers: Horizontal=to the RIGHT; Vertical=Down. Translate with negative numbers: Horizontal=to the LEFT; Vertical=UP.
