When you click on the Annotate tab at Image Magick, you'll see lots and lots of font names. Not only do many of these font letters and numbers look decorative, but their asterisks (keyboard 8 plus Shift key) can be used by themselves for decorative purposes. Some look like stars, others like snowflakes, and sometimes, as in the case of the Alfred Drake font, just plain amazing! Below are some charts showing what each font's asterisk looks like. The point sizes range from 24 to 63.
