When annotating at Arbor's Image Magick, I started exploring the use of the alt key plus the alpha-numerical keys of MSN TV's keyboard. I used the Helvetica font built into the IMs. Some keys produce interesting shapes, others produce nothing. We can use these shapes as decorative borders for images. Below you will find examples of those keys that do produce symbols. I tried to arrange the examples according to their order in each row of the keyboard. |

Some numbers, letters and symbols produced nothing. The letters in the 2d row that are out of order according to the keyboad layout did not show up until I had tried them 2-4 times! In the number row, the 1st key, the 8, the dash and the equals signs didn't show anything, either. The letters e, u, i, o and n produce various accents with the alt key that are not part of IM's Helvetica font. If you can't get a result with a particular key, yet the chart shows a result, then just keep trying. | |||||||||
