an Image Magick Tute by Flo |
In the Enhance, Effects and F/X departments of Image Magic, there are some Options: Color Channel and Virtual Pixels, which will be confusing, unless you understand the colors of llght. The primary and secondary colors are different from the primary and secondary color pigments which we all learned in grade school. In the following chart are the Light Primaries and their opposites (Secondaries).

Secondary Color |

You can see from the above that if you want BLUE around your figure, you must select its opposite: YELLOW color channel, and so on.

original (above) blur 2x2 |
left image sharpen 6x6 |
1x1, 2x2, 3x3 |
1x1,2x2 3x3, 4x4 |
Blur on the left image was only 2x2, but it took a 6x6 Sharpen to undo the blur.
Third image sharpened 3 times, as indicated. A tiny amount of pixelation shows around the edges of the ellipses.
Fourth image sharpened 4 times, as indicated. Now the pixelation shows better.
Doing this will produce an over-all texture in more complicated backgrounds. |
